HOW TO MEASURE YOUR WAISTCOAT FOR SALE
1. SHOULDER WIDTH
Measure from neckline along shoulder seam to the seam where the waistcoat ends at outer shoulder
2. UNDERARM TO UNDERARM: FRONT
Measure from the side body seam where it meets the armpit to the opposite side body seam where it meets the armpit, going across the chest
3. UNDERARM TO UNDERARM: BACK
Measure from the side body seam where it meets the armpit to the opposite side body seam where it meets the armpit, going across the back of the waistcoat
4. BODY LENGTH: FRONT
Measure from the shoulder seam at the top of the waistcoat down diagonally to the center bottom of the waistcoat
5. BODY LENGTH: SIDE
Measure the side seam of the waistcoat from the armpit to the bottom of the waistcoat (many waistcoats will have a zipper here in which case you can just measure the zipper).
6. BODY LENGTH: BACK
Measure from the shoulder seam at the top of the waistcoat down diagonally to the center bottom at the back of the waistcoat.
7. WAIST CIRCUMFERENCE AT BOTTOM
Measure around the bottom of the waistcoat. This measurement is much easier done with the waistcoat on the dancer. If you can’t measure on a dancer, sometimes this measurement is easier done by using a piece of string to wrap around the bottom circumference of the waistcoat and then measuring the string.
8. NATURAL WAIST CIRCUMFERENCE
Measure around the narrowest part of the waist coat. This measurement is much easier done with the waistcoat on the dancer. If you can’t measure on a dancer, sometimes this measurement is easier done by using a piece of string to wrap around the bottom circumference of the waistcoat and then measuring the string.
9. CHEST CIRCUMFERENCE
Measure full circumference of the chest.
