HOW TO MEASURE YOUR DRESS FOR SALE
1. SHOULDER WIDTH
Measure from neckline along shoulder seam to the seam where the sleeve is attached

2. ARM LENGTH
Measure from seam at shoulder where sleeve is attached down to the end of the sleeve
3. UNDERARM TO UNDERARM: FRONT
Measure from the side body seam where it meets the armpit to the opposite side body seam where it meets the armpit, going across the chest

4. UNDERARM TO UNDERARM: BACK
Measure from the side body seam where it meets the armpit to the opposite side body seam where it meets the armpit, going across the back of the dress

5. BODY LENGTH: FRONT
Measure from the center of the neck opening down to the seam where the bodice is attached to the waist
6. BODY LENGTH: BACK
Measure from the top of the zipper down to the seam where the bodice is attached to the waist. Do not continue past the waist seam even if the zipper continues.

7. FULL LENGTH: FRONT
Measure from the center of the neck straight down to the bottom of the skirt.
8. FULL LENGTH: BACK
Measure from the top of the zipper down to the bottom of the skirt.

9. SKIRT LENGTH: FRONT
Measure from the center of the waist seam down to the bottom of the skirt
10. SKIRT LENGTH: BACK
Measure from the center of the waist seam at the back (on the zipper if applicable) down to the bottom of the skirt

11. DROPPED WAIST CIRCUMFERENCE
Measure along the seam where the bodice and skirt are attached the whole way around the dress. This measurement is easier taken with the dress on rather than off, if that is an option for you. Sometimes this measurement is easier done by using a piece of string to wrap around the waist seam and then measuring the string. If the waistline dips in the center use the hips as a guide for this measurement.
12. NATURAL WAIST CIRCUMFERENCE
Since most Irish Dance dresses have a dropped waist, finding the natural waist on a dress can be tricky, but is easier done if the dress is on a body.

13. BUST CIRCUMFERENCE
Measure circumference of the bust at the fullest part.
14. SHOULDER TO SHOULDER ACROSS FRONT
Measure above the bust and below the neck and the widest point. Go from seam to seam where sleeves are attached

15. SHOULDER TO SHOULDER ACROSS BACK
Measure across the back at broadest part, going from seam to seam where sleeves are attached.
